Hello everyone. I'm Hannah, an English

0:02

teacher at Virtually Fluent. Today, we

0:06

are going to learn the basic vocabulary

0:09

to describe the head and body.

0:20

So, let's start with the head. This here

0:24

is my head. And we have lots of

0:27

different features on the head. First is

0:30

this, which is hair. Hair. Next, we have

0:35

the face. All of this is my face. And on

0:40

my face, we have even more features. We

0:43

have my eyes. I see with my eyes. We

0:47

have my nose. I smell with my nose.

0:51

Ears. I hear or listen to music with my

0:55

ears.

0:56

And I have my mouth. I

0:59

eat food and drink with my mouth. Inside

1:03

my mouth, I have lots of teeth. This is

1:06

a strange word in English because one is

1:09

a tooth. One tooth. But plural is teeth.

1:14

Completely different.

1:16

Now, let's move on to the body. So, to

1:19

connect my head to my body, we have

1:23

this, which is a neck. This is my neck.

1:27

So, let's start with these. These are my

1:30

shoulders. I have two shoulders.

1:34

And connected to my shoulders are my

1:37

arms. Two arms.

1:40

In the middle,

1:41

I have an elbow. This is my elbow.

1:45

And right at the end, I have two hands.

1:49

And on my hands, I have lots of fingers.

1:53

10 fingers.

1:55

In this middle part on the front, I have

1:58

my stomach. When I eat food, it goes

2:01

into my stomach. And on the opposite

2:04

side, all of this is my back. My back.

2:10

Now, we're moving down to these, which

2:13

are my legs. I have two legs.

2:17

And right in the middle, two knees. This

2:20

is my knee. And right at the bottom, I

2:24

have my feet. I have two feet.

2:28

This is also a strange word. One foot

2:32

and two feet. Similar to one tooth, two

2:36

teeth. That same strange plural form.

2:40

And right at the end of my feet, I have

2:42

10 toes. Different word. Fingers and

2:47

toes. So, that's all the basic

2:49

vocabulary for the head and the body in

2:53

English. Don't forget to subscribe to
