what would you say is the best thing

0:02

about the UK or living in the UK I think

0:04

for me best thing about living in the UK

0:06

is probably it's diverse kind of

0:07

Countryside like it would you if I came

0:10

along and I slept in your back Garden

0:12

wherever you are in the UK

0:15

when you say the food in Cornwall do you

0:18

mean Cornish pasties indeed I do the

0:22

first one is you're close to so many

0:24

posts like we are here nice they can get

0:27

to the beach pretty easily and also

0:28

you're so close to other places in

0:29

Europe are you big hikers or Walkers or

0:32

yeah I mean we're we're not so much for

0:34

the dog definitely is

0:36

we try our best to go where we can with

0:38

him don't we in the center of Edinburgh

0:40

it's got a really really good scene

0:43

um

0:49

hiya welcome to a new episode of easy

0:52

English

0:53

so with brexit ever-changing prime

0:55

ministers migration environmental issues

0:58

the UK has had some pretty bad press

1:00

recently so I wanted to know what the

1:02

people on Brighton Beach like about the

1:04

UK before we get started please don't

1:06

forget to subscribe below here we go

1:08

what in your opinion would you say is uh

1:12

the best thing about the UK or living in

1:15

the UK

1:17

um

1:17

one of the good things I suppose about

1:20

living here in the UK is the landscape

1:22

the countryside you know people say

1:25

we're full up and we shouldn't have um

1:27

immigration but I disagree I think we've

1:30

got plenty of space we've got marvelous

1:32

areas and Acres of Woodland and

1:35

Greenland and I love nature we live in a

1:38

country where you've got

1:40

um great City centers but also culture

1:44

and history and the seaside and the

1:46

coasts all up and down the country are

1:48

fantastic the sense of humor that's a

1:51

good one we've got a good good Banner

1:53

over here okay can you describe like a

1:55

typical British sense of humor

2:00

the countryside and the coastline

2:04

wondrous place in the world big band and

2:06

stuff

2:08

and even

2:11

and even the stone hands is which is

2:15

really good for me since I really like

2:16

history some of our cities

2:19

um you know outside of London I love

2:21

going out to Manchester and Leeds and

2:22

Edinburgh that's fantastic City another

2:25

such variety you can't beat Cornwall

2:28

it's absolutely beautiful the people

2:30

yeah the food the coastline everything

2:34

and places to see and we're from quite

2:38

high up north in Yorkshire but places

2:40

like all the national parks for me like

2:42

the Lake District or uh Southern Downs

2:44

will be coming down here there's various

2:45

national parks that are just absolutely

2:47

um stunning and especially I think my

2:49

favorite place probably actually is

2:50

Scotland probably very sarcastic

2:55

I guess

2:59

I'm kind of like uh like Gallows humor

3:02

or something yeah yeah I think it's like

3:03

never be too down about it have a laugh

3:06

okay don't be defeated I guess when you

3:08

say the food in Cornwall do you mean

3:11

Cornish pasties indeed I do what is

3:15

inside a Cornish pasty how can you

3:17

describe it minced beef or lamb and you

3:21

have your vegetables which are chopped

3:24

up finely uh they include a Swede turnip

3:29

onions carrots and they chop them up

3:33

finely and they put them in with the

3:36

mints yeah and then you in in encase

3:40

them in the most succulent pastry yeah

3:43

and it's absolutely mouthful tree

4:26

back to the episode some people who have

4:29

asked of kind of some have declined to

4:31

do the interview right because they're

4:32

like eyes I don't have anything good to

4:34

say

4:35

from what you say like if you know

4:39

and the NHS of course

4:48

the wonderful thing about Britain really

4:51

is that when you walk you can you can

4:54

walk in so many places Woodland field

4:57

across Fields down land you're not

5:00

restricted whereas when we went to

5:03

France when we've been to France quite a

5:04

lot

5:05

um and Spain you're restricted to very

5:09

much limited national paths and Roots

5:12

because it's privatized because it's

5:13

privatized yes because the land It All

5:16

Belongs to the farmers and they have

5:18

scary dogs I have experienced it really

5:21

have you very scary dogs you've

5:23

attempted a French hike yeah it wasn't a

5:26

good idea

5:27

no I think even if you're in the center

5:30

of the country you've got the option to

5:32

go out to the coast in an hour and a

5:33

half whether it's by train or my coach

5:35

one minute you can be looking at the sea

5:37

and then the next minute you can be

5:38

literally in the in the fields and it's

5:40

just like you're in a you're in a

5:42

different place but everything's really

5:43

quite close you know you walk around

5:45

London it is full of tourists and if

5:47

it's a local Zoo walking around a

5:48

million miles an hour

5:49

um and I'm not saying that people don't

5:51

walk around London with a smile on the

5:52

face which is generally I found in

5:54

evenings out in both Manchester and

5:55

Leeds this summer everyone is just

5:57

absolutely enjoying themselves you know

5:59

it's Matt um you know I was in Leeds on

6:02

a Saturday night it was absolutely

6:03

hammering down with rain but didn't seem

6:04

to bother anybody everybody everybody

6:06

was just out partying enjoying

6:07

themselves it was a Saturday night it

6:09

was absolutely mobbed you know just

6:11

people just having a general you know a

6:13

really good a really good fun night out

6:15

you live the South southbound's way yes

6:17

wow that was wonderful we always laugh

6:20

when we say well we did it in nine days

6:21

over two years the longest walk ever I

6:26

was so enjoyed it we actually didn't

6:27

want to start really yeah we did take a

6:30

children's tent which didn't tell me it

6:32

was the children's tent so we had

6:33

Twitter what was it Teletubby it's

6:36

always just tiny it was like a doll's

6:38

house it was ridiculous and her head is

6:41

sticking out if you go online I know

6:43

there's various routes you can find that

6:45

give you various routes to walk and how

6:47

long each one is and it even gives you

6:48

like a difficulty rating of each one

6:50

English pubs are brilliant if and a lot

6:53

of them now turned into gastro pubs

6:54

which is a good thing and are not such a

6:56

good thing but that the local beer

6:58

there's very much locality with beer and

7:00

food you can literally just pop on the

7:02

train and get to Paris or things like

7:04

that is this something you do not yet I

7:07

want to when I have enough money but

7:09

something you can do yeah I think I'll

7:11

recommend like London better okay all of

7:15

London since it's full of various

7:17

landmarks like a Saint Paul's Cathedral

7:21

Buckingham Palace and big Ben over the

7:24

last 20 years I think people that

7:25

haven't been to the UK for that kind of

7:26

period of time you come over here and

7:28

you can get sushi restaurants absolutely

7:30

for almost every major town and City you

7:32

can go to yeah you can get you know a

7:34

whole and sometimes some of the best

7:35

ranked restaurants in cities well

7:38

they're not English they are Japanese

7:40

these or they are tile or they are

7:43

Indian or they are Mexican and you've

7:45

got everything the Brits or UK citizens

7:47

to the UK for granted yeah I think a lot

7:49

of people do don't realize how lucky

7:51

they are yeah that's true we I suppose

7:53

it's human nature we all want more we

7:55

all want things to be better but

7:57

sometimes you just gotta look at what

7:59

you've got and be happy with that

8:01

realize how lucky you really are thanks

8:04

for watching this week's episode let us

8:06

know in the comments below what you

8:08

think is the best thing about the UK or

8:10

living in the UK as always we'll see you

8:13

next time

8:14

restaurant
