>> Ah in Calais? Yeah. Okay. So you've come

0:36

over for the week uh for the week or

0:37

>> Uh for 4 days.

0:38

>> 4 days. Nice. You chose a good city to

0:41

come to.

0:41

>> Yeah.

0:42

>> Shopping.

0:42

>> Shopping. [laughter]

0:44

>> Need new wardrobe.

0:45

>> Yeah.

0:46

>> Nice. And are you two together?

0:48

>> Yes, we are.

0:49

>> Yes, we are together. Husband and wife.

0:51

Have been for 43 years.

0:53

>> Wow.

0:53

>> 44 years.

0:55

>> That's great. Are you Are you married?

0:57

>> Yes, we are.

0:57

>> Are you two together? Are you a couple?

0:59

>> Yes.

1:00

>> Nice.

1:01

>> For 7 years now.

1:02

>> How long have you been together?

1:03

>> 7 years.

1:04

>> 16 years, I think.

1:06

>> 16 years.

1:07

>> Nice.

1:07

>> Not 16.

1:08

>> 16 years. Married 10.

1:10

>> We've been together for 9 year and a

1:12

half.

1:13

>> How long have you two been together?

1:14

>> that to the lady.

1:15

>> [laughter]

1:15

>> Do you know?

1:17

>> It's okay.

1:17

>> Yeah.

1:18

>> Yeah.

1:18

>> Okay. Nice.

1:19

>> Quite relatively new.

1:20

>> Yeah.

1:21

>> Nearly 3 years.

1:22

>> 3 years. That's quite nice. And

1:24

um

1:25

how did you two meet?

1:26

>> Through friends on a beach.

1:27

>> Yeah.

1:27

>> Um

1:28

>> the same class as well.

1:29

>> Yeah, in the same classes and just

1:31

talking and then I just asked her out.

1:33

Yeah.

1:33

>> Oh yeah? You made the first move?

1:35

>> Yeah. Yes.

1:35

>> At work.

1:37

>> At work?

1:37

>> Yeah, we met at an at a film festival we

1:40

worked for.

1:40

>> Oh wow.

1:41

>> In Gothenburg, yeah.

1:42

>> That's great.

1:43

>> Many years ago, yeah.

1:44

>> Who made the first move?

1:45

>> Me.

1:46

>> Yeah.

1:46

>> Why'd you say that like it's

1:48

>> Because

1:48

>> [laughter]

1:48

>> I had a boyfriend then.

1:51

So she she couldn't really make a move.

1:53

>> [laughter]

1:54

>> I had a boyfriend. No, no. And so

1:58

at that point we were both straight as

2:00

far as we knew. And so I had a

2:03

boyfriend, so she didn't have the I

2:06

don't know any clue, yeah. Yeah, any

2:08

clue that I was interested.

2:11

>> Uh it's an online thing.

2:12

>> [laughter]

2:13

>> Yeah. Dating app.

2:14

>> Yeah.

2:15

>> Yeah.

2:16

>> And

2:17

who who like

2:18

>> It was me that made the move.

2:20

>> [laughter]

2:21

>> I I was playing hard to get for a while.

2:24

It was my

2:25

>> phone waiting

2:26

>> [laughter]

2:27

>> Yeah, I kept my cards close to my chest.

2:30

>> Nice. [laughter] You were like making

2:32

all the moves, and it we worked.

2:33

>> Yeah, it did. It did work.

2:35

>> And how did you two meet?

2:37

>> Ooh.

2:37

>> It was

2:38

>> [laughter]

2:39

>> It was at school

2:40

I think

2:43

2:45

>> Yeah.

2:45

>> Wow. But

2:46

but we are only a couple for 7 years

2:49

now.

2:50

>> How do you two know each other? What's

2:52

your connection?

2:53

>> We've just been friends a long time.

2:56

Like we didn't go to the same high

2:57

school, but like since high school.

2:59

>> Okay.

3:00

>> Yeah, we we well we had mutual friends,

3:03

and then we sort of connected on

3:06

Instagram like a long time ago.

3:08

>> I just got off work, and my friends were

3:09

at the beach with

3:10

>> And I just come back from holiday, and I

3:12

was friends with them friends.

3:14

>> And they invited me down to the beach

3:15

after work, and I went and joined them.

3:16

And then I met her.

3:17

>> Nice.

3:18

>> Yeah.

3:18

>> So who made the first move then?

3:20

>> Oh, that was me.

3:20

>> Totally made the first move.

3:22

>> There was a party at the university.

3:24

>> Nice.

3:24

>> For international,

3:26

and I was introduced to her, and

3:28

>> That was it.

3:28

>> Fortunately, I could say no, but

3:31

>> Careful.

3:32

>> [laughter]

3:40

[music]

4:48

>> [music]

4:51

>> I don't mind you guys first. What would

4:52

you say is like the best quality of the

4:54

other person? You guys first.

4:57

We have volunteers.

4:58

>> Well, considering we're on a holiday,

4:59

Will's very organized, and he's done a

5:01

lot of planning and everything for this

5:03

trip. So, yeah.

5:05

>> That's good. But also in general life,

5:08

you guys been together?

5:09

>> Um well, he makes me laugh a lot. He's

5:12

very funny.

5:13

>> For you?

5:13

>> Yeah.

5:14

>> Much fun. A lot of things happen all the

5:16

time. Life never gets boring.

5:18

>> That's great. That's a really good

5:19

answer.

5:20

>> I I would say

5:22

uh fun as well, and patience.

5:25

>> Patience. [laughter] Fun and patience.

5:26

It's a good combination. Okay, what

5:28

would you say is like the best quality

5:30

of the other person?

5:31

>> Wow.

5:32

Uh

5:34

>> [laughter]

5:35

>> So many.

5:38

>> [laughter]

5:39

>> I don't know how to say it in English,

5:40

but

5:42

she's very resilient. She has

5:46

a very strong will.

5:47

Uh

5:48

she's very powerful, I think.

5:50

>> What would you say is like the best

5:52

quality here? I don't mind who goes

5:53

first or the other person.

5:54

>> Your best quality is your kindness, I'd

5:56

say. Yeah, he's really kind, really

5:58

caring.

5:59

>> Uh this one's just a beautiful and

6:00

persistent.

6:01

>> Yeah, yeah, yeah,

6:02

>> [laughter]

6:02

>> persistent. Yes, yeah. [gasps]

6:04

>> But I didn't give up.

6:05

>> No, you didn't.

6:06

>> That's a good quality to have.

6:07

>> Yeah, definitely.

6:08

>> Um this one's a beautiful mom of two

6:10

boys and she

6:12

raises them really well, so

6:14

>> That's cute.

6:14

>> What's attractive things about her?

6:16

That's great.

6:17

>> Oh she's

6:26

>> The tenacity, that's good. That's a good

6:28

quality to have.

6:31

>> You were tenacious when you were making

6:33

the first move.

6:35

>> We can we can't say something like that

6:36

here.

6:37

>> [laughter]

6:38

>> And how about hers, her best quality?

6:40

>> I think it's

6:42

it's a understanding.

6:44

>> I think we have a good connection where

6:45

it's she doesn't necessarily need to ask

6:47

in order to like open up about so like

6:49

we have like deep conversations and

6:51

she's able to like give advice and then

6:54

we're really sort of eloquent together

6:55

and we can under- I think we can just

6:57

understand each other really well.

6:59

>> Yeah, really just like mind reading

7:01

friendship now.

7:01

>> Like actually, yeah.

7:02

>> Like yeah.

7:03

>> Yeah. Um something interesting is that I

7:05

actually have a twin brother, like an

7:07

identical twin brother and I would say

7:09

like my ability to communicate sort of

7:12

telepathically-ish with him [laughter]

7:13

and like just like understand

7:15

[clears throat] him without verbalizing

7:16

anything is sort of the same with with

7:19

her. So that's really special.

7:20

>> Isaac's a very kind person. He's very

7:23

lovely, he's very sweet to everyone. I

7:25

really like that.

7:26

>> Yeah, um Tegan Stuart, same thing, very

7:29

kind, always looks out for me.

7:30

Um

7:31

always always puts other people first

7:33

and I find that very very admirable.

7:35

>> What would you say is the best quality

7:38

of the other person?

7:40

>> What's her quality?

7:40

>> He's he's got the

7:44

serious mind and I've got the

7:47

other side.

7:48

>> Good cop, bad cop?

7:49

>> More than that, yeah. [laughter]

7:50

Absolutely. Absolutely.

7:52

>> Okay.

7:52

>> We work very well. We are literally

7:54

opposites, chalk and cheese.

7:56

>> Opposites attract.

7:57

>> that's why that's why we managed 44

7:58

years, my friend, so.

8:00

>> 44 years?

8:01

>> Four children, five grandchildren.

8:03

>> Wow. Wow, [laughter] really? And what

8:05

would you say is her best quality?

8:08

>> Actually, she's very kind.

8:10

>> Yeah.

8:11

>> Very tolerance as well and very

8:13

patience.

8:15

These these are the three qualities I

8:16

can say.

8:17

Cuz she managed with the three kids. I

8:19

mean

8:19

>> Four kids.

8:19

>> Three boys. [laughter]

8:21

>> Her compassion and kindness, always

8:24

thinking about other people. Sometimes

8:26

be too much.

8:27

Um needs to put herself first, but yeah,

8:29

I think it's a really good quality to

8:30

have.

8:31

>> I think she is a very great listener

8:35

and she has the capacity to

8:39

listen to you without you feeling judged

8:42

in any way and so she's very warm and uh

8:46

kind of and also has so many talents

8:49

that it's insane. And so when that's one

8:53

of the things that first drew me to her

8:55

at the beginning.

8:56

>> So, it's nice to meet you too.

8:57

>> Yeah, nice to meet you.

8:59

>> [laughter]

9:00

>> It was nice to meet you anyway. Have a

9:01

nice rest of your time in Brighton.

9:02

>> Thanks.

9:03

>> You guys have really nice answers and

9:05

English isn't even your first language.

9:07

>> No, no, no, no.

9:08

>> Wow, amazing. [laughter] You speak

9:09

better than most English people.

9:12

Thank you so much. It's nice to meet you

9:13

too. It was really nice to meet you too.

9:15

>> Thank you very much.

9:15

>> Have a good day.

9:16

>> Nice to meet you. Thank you so much.

9:17

>> It's nice to meet you. Thank you so much

9:19

for your time.

9:20

>> Thank you.

9:20

>> Well, I really appreciate your time and

9:22

uh yeah, have a nice rest of your day.

9:23

Don't get rained on.

9:24

>> [laughter]

9:25

>> Thank you.

9:25

>> Thank you very much. Nice to meet you

9:26

guys. Cheers.

9:27

>> to meet you too.

9:28

>> Nice. It's really nice to meet you too.

9:30

>> nice to meet you as well.

9:31

>> Couldn't have said it better myself.

9:32

>> Yeah, absolutely. Hope it goes well.

9:34

>> Thank you.

9:35

>> [laughter]

9:35

>> Thank you for watching this week's

9:37

episode. Let us know your stories of

9:39

love [music] and as always we'll see you

9:41

in the next episode. Tara. So you got

9:44

the big 10 coming out. Do you have

9:46

plans? Is it secret?

9:48

>> [laughter]

9:50

>> She's going to be in Berlin by then.

9:53

So she's

9:54

yeah for Erasmus. So she's coming. Yeah.

9:57

That's good.

9:58

>> [laughter]

10:00

>> We're going to celebrate in Berlin.

10:01

That's great. What a crazy place to do

10:03

it.
